How Our Subscription Service Works

We send subscription boxes every season — four times a year — with a selection of 5, 8, or 12 unique pieces from our line, depending on the box size you choose.

We’ll use all of your awesome quiz answers to pick a personalized box for your child.

When it’s ready, we’ll show you a Peek of your box so you can yay or nay the selections. If you don’t like what we’ve chosen, just swap for something else. Once you completed you selection, you can head to checkout to pay for your box. If you have items you’d like to send back, you can initiate a return through your order history or by visiting http://returns.rocketsofawesome.com/ and entering your order number and zip code.  You can save a trip to the post office by requesting a pickup with USPS (click here). We charge you per item. As a bonus, if you keep all items sent with no returns we'll significantly discount your total by 20%-40%, depending on the box size you chose.*

Then, we'll do it all over again next season! You'll receive a reminder email before the next box is created so that you’ll have plenty of time to update sizes and preferences before your Peek is sent out. We'll email you again after that with an estimated shipping window. If you need to reschedule your box for any reason, reach out to us at help@rocketsofawesome.com and one of our Rocket Scientists will make sure you get your package at the right time.

Depending on the box size you choose, each box includes 5, 8, or 12 pieces of Rockets of Awesome clothing (and occasional accessories!), selected by us based on you and your child's preferences (your Style File).

You'll receive an email with a link to preview the selections 48 hours before we ship.

Each season - four times a year. We’ll email at the start of each season to remind you to update your sizing and preferences.

This fee is to cover processing costs for your order. This fee will not be refunded, even if you return all the items in your box.

Yes! As soon as we’ve selected your styles, we’ll show you a Peek of your box. If there’s something you’d rather not receive, just click the “Edit Your Picks” button at the bottom of your Peek page. Remove items from your box by clicking the X above each item. You can replace them with the products listed below your box selection by clicking the + icon under your desired item.

You can skip your upcoming box from your account at any time before the shipping process begins.

Just log in to your account, click "Edit Subscription" on the left, then select "Manage" for the subscription you'd like to edit. You'll be able to snooze your box by a week or skip the season under the "Next Order" section.

We ship your box promptly after your Peek preview process is finished. Once you view and submit the preview, the box is finalized and sent off to ship. Be sure to make changes to your Style File before this process so we can make sure your box is 100% awesome.

If you don't view or submit your Peek that's no problem! We'll automatically ship the box after the preview period expires. If you rejected any items from the original Peek and did not select a swap item to replace it, Your box will come with the rejected items. Please be sure to always choose replacements for the items you do not wish to receive.

If you missed the timeframe to make changes, no sweat! You can initiate a return of any items you do not want and receive store credit for the return. You can then order a new box and use that store credit upon checkout.

The best way to get the most unique, personalized box possible is to regularly update the Style File with details about your kid. You can update their size, favorite colors, favorite patterns, and even their dislikes.

1. Regularly Update Sizing

When it comes time to put together your box, we'll choose items in the size that's listed on the Style File. Be sure to update sizing, if necessary, before the season starts. We'll send you a reminder email about this before we send out your Peek.

If you're not getting what you need by following the above steps, please feel free to reach out to our support team so we can work it out, at help@rocketsofawesome.com. We'll do whatever we can to get your kid the perfect box!

If no shipping time frame is set on the website, then your box isn't scheduled yet! We'll reach out soon with a more specific timeframe, so be on the lookout for an email from us.

Billing

Your card will be charged as soon as your box ships out. If you decide to return items in your box, you will be refunded for whatever you send back. 

Please keep in mind that when you paid for the items in your box, you received a Keep All discount. If you return any items you received for a refund, you will lose that discount on any of the items you are keeping and be charged full price for them. If you would like to return any items for a refund, you will need to reach out tohelp@rocketsofawesome.comto begin that process.

To sign up for Rockets of Awesome, you'll need a valid debit or credit card, or a valid Rockets of Awesome giftcard. We are also proudly partnered with Klarna.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept Paypal, or prepaid/payroll cards. We are also unable to process any payments by cash, check, or money order.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Whether or not you are charged sales tax on your order depends on the relevant laws in the state your box is being shipped to. At the moment, we are required to collect sales tax for purchases in Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Please note that promotions, such as the Keep All Discount, exclude sales tax.

Shipping

Our typical delivery times are as follows: 

  • Standard Shipping: 6-10 business days
  • Faster Shipping: 4-7 business days
  • Fastest Shipping: 2-5 business days

During our peak seasons (Back to School and Holiday), it can take longer for your order to arrive.

Our orders typically ship via the United States Postal Service.  Occasionally, we will utilize UPS for “Fastest Shipping”

Yes! For online shop orders, you can select the Faster Shipping (4-7 business days) option for $10 or Fastest Shipping (2-5 business days) options for $15. At this time, we do not offer expedited shipping for subscription orders.

During our peak seasons (Back to School and Holiday), it can take up to 4 weeks for your order to arrive.

We currently ship within the United States (Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are in the works).

For orders of $99 or more, shipping from our online shop is free! Otherwise a $8.50 shipping fee applies. We also offer faster shipping for an additional fee. 

For our subscription orders, shipping is always free! 

If you’re placing a shop order as part of a subscription box exchange, please hold on placing your order until you've reached out to our support team (help@rocketsofawesome.com) for further assistance.

To skip your next subscription box, log in and head to the "My Subscriptions" page on our site and click "Manage". If you have an upcoming box scheduled, you'll be able to skip it there by clicking "Skip Next"

To pause your subscription, log in and head to the "My Subscriptions" page on our site and click "Manage". If you have an upcoming box scheduled you’ll be able to pause your subscription by scrolling to the end of your order summary and clicking “Pause Subscription”. You can reactivate it any time from your account page 

To cancel your subscription indefinitely, head to the "My Subscriptions" page when you're logged in and scroll to the end of your order summary. From there, click "Cancel Subscription". Remember, you can always reactivate your subscription later if you like!

Returns & Exchanges

For orders placed directly through our website, exchanges are completely free! All returns will incur a $5 handling fee.

Head to returns.rocketsofawesome.com to submit your return and receive a prepaid shipping label.*

You have 30 days to return any unworn items. You can choose to do a size exchange for an item you received or receive a refund or store credit. For exchanges, once the returning items are in transit back to us, your new item will be shipped. Refunds and store credit returns will be processed within 5 days of receiving your return.

*Note: Return policies do not apply to Final Sale items. 

Please keep in mind that when you paid for the items in your box, you received a Keep All discount. If you return any items you received for a refund, you will lose that discount on any of the items you are keeping and be charged full price for them. If you would like to return any items for a refund, you will need to reach out to help@rocketsofawesome.com to begin that process.

1) Once you receive your box, you have 5 days to initiate a return. Head to returns.rocketsofawesome.com to say what you would like to return. If you choose to do a size exchange or receive store credit for your returning items, then you will retain the Keep All discount on the items you decide to keep. You’ll then receive a prepaid shipping label to send back your returns. 

2) Send back the returns! Use the label you receive and the box your items came in to send back your returns. You can drop off the box at the post office, in a blue USPS collections box, or schedule a pickup with USPS. For exchanges, once the returning items are in transit back to us, your new item will be shipped. For store credit returns, those will be processed within 5 days of receiving your return.

You have five days from the date of delivery to send back any returns. If five days ever feels too short and you need a bit more time, please contact us at help@rocketsofawesome.com for help.

We offer size exchanges for subscription box items, provided we have the item available in the new size. You can start an exchange by heading to returns.rocketsofawesome.com and selecting the item(s) you are looking to exchange. Once you’ve made the selections, simply use the prepaid return label you received when you submitted your return to send back your items. Once the return tracking goes live, we’ll send the replacement your way!

At this time, we do not accept returns for any sale items purchased. 

Swimwear can be returned as long as the original hygienic liner is attached. Swimwear sent back without the original hygienic liner will not be accepted for return or refund.

Account

Updates to size and style preferences can be made in their Style File! 

Please make sure you visit your Style File often, so we have your child's most recent size information.

If you want to start receiving boxes for an additional child, just head to your account to start the Style Quiz and create another profile.

Once on that page, click the “Add kid or baby” on the left hand side under your name, then complete the Style Quiz for the new kid. That's it! When you're finished, we'll email you a confirmation and get started on the new box.

Update your shipping or billing info on your account page.

Click "Addresses" to update your default shipping address. Press the "Add New Address" blue button on this page to enter the details for a new address. Be sure to check the "Set as default shipping address" checkmark to make sure that this new address becomes the one we automatically send packages to going forward.

To change your payment method, go to your “My Subscriptions” page . Click the blue “Manage” button. Under Payment Method on the right side, click the word “Edit”. This will send you an email with a secure link to update your payment information.

Our Product & Sizing

We stand by our product and guarantee the clothing we've made will stand up to serious play! That means:

  • Colors won't fade after a few washes.
  • Clothes won't rip or tear easily.
  • Fabrics will be super soft and comfortable.

If you receive an item that doesn't live up to your expectations, please let us know ASAP by contacting us via email at help@rocketsofawesome.com. Be sure to include a photo of the item, so we can forward it along to our Apparel Team!

We work with a handful of carefully selected factories in China and Bangladesh.

Generally, the average item in our line is priced around $19 - $39. Certain jewelry and accessories are priced closer to $16, while some items in the cooler seasons (like outerwear) are closer to $50-$60.

If you're purchasing clothing through one of our subscription boxes, we offer a "Keep All" discount, which increases with the size of your box:

  • Keep All in a 5 item box for 20% off*
  • Keep All in an 8 item box for 30% off*
  • Keep All in a 12 item box for 40% off*

Please note that you must keep all items of the box in order to receive the Keep All discount. Keeping 5 items from a 12 item box does not qualify you for any Keep All discount.

Rockets of Awesome Mini offers sizes 0 - 24 months: 

  • 0-3 Months - 7-12 lbs
  • 3-6 Months - 12-17 lbs
  • 6-12 Months - 17-22 lbs
  • 12-18 Months - 22-27 lbs
  • 18-24 Months - 27-30 lbs

If your kids are in between sizes, we recommend sizing up!

Our Mini collection grows every season! At this time we offer Mini sun hats, and we hope to expand our Mini accessories in the future.

You might see a few familiar patterns! As our Rockets Mini line is brand new, you can look forward to new styles launching every season - just like our regular line.

At this time, we are not offering subscription boxes for Mini. But, you can still shop our amazing, super soft Mini styles any time!
